Some caves are unbelievably beautiful and Trollkyrkja (the Troll church) in the municipality of Fræna is one of them. Over the years the water has worked away at the layers of marble, and the resulting formations are like something from another world. The cave system consists of three huge chambers, in some places with warm and bright walls where daylight paints wonderful patterns. In other places they are ice cold and the surface of the rock almost blue. From the road we walk for an hour up the mountainside before lighting torches and entering the remarkable world of Trollkyrkja.
